Nathaniel Almeida moved to the Hampton Roads area two years ago, after moving to the area from New York. There, he served as the youngest African-American elected to the Poughkeepsie Public Library District Board of Trustees and served on a variety of boards and commissions in the City of Poughkeepsie, NY.
Nathaniel is currently a legal assistant with a Virginia Beach-based personal injury firm. He also serves on the Norfolk Environmental Board of Commissioners. One of his priorities is to tell as many young professionals as he knows about the Urban League Young Professionals, and the opportunity it provides to be a part of a growing community that is influencing change in our community for future generations.
Nathaniel brings a set of skills to this work which he hopes will bring meaning. Aside from that, he hopes to learn something from each of his colleagues in the YP’s that he will carry on to future endeavors.
Nathaniel’s primary goal is to learn and grow with our organization.
“Start empowering communities and changing lives with us today by becoming a member!” ~Nathaniel Almeida
